The Lord has been showing me a picture today that I want to share with you all. He showed me a big wheel, like the wheel of Ezekiel.
I saw each of us standing inside our own large wheel, building that which the Lord is calling us to build in this new season. We were putting the right spokes in place, and whilst still standing inside the wheel, focussing on what to do, I suddenly realised that the wheel had been moving without my knowledge. I looked back and saw that much ground had been gained, and new paths had already been laid. Yesterday we still thought, ‘Wow, Lord, this is all so exciting, we have so much to do! We have to make the new pathways in these new directions that you are showing us.’
Now, looking behind me, I realised that the Lord had been doing the labour, He had caused the motion, moving me from the starting point of the ‘new’, accelerating my pace, quantum-leaping me right into my purpose for this season. That which would have taken years have taken days. For the Lord is turning the wheels of the ‘new’, and the movement will not be laboursome or tiresome. As we keep our eyes focused on Him, obeying His instructions one-step-at-a-time, He will surprise us, move us from here to there, taking us further than is humanly possible.
The Lord is partnering with us! He is actively involved in what we do in this season. He is saying, ‘Trust Me, and keep close to My Voice. Hear what I am saying, and build what you hear, for this season is marked by My Spirit and My Word. I am giving revelation with application, enabling you to build My Kingdom upon the earth, within your own sphere. For with each step, I will continue to lead you, and while you are at it, I will do the moving and quick establishing.
There’s a sense of urgency at this time, the Lord is downloading much to His Bride. If you feel overwhelmed by the ‘new’, and the magnitude of what He wants you to do, focus on step one, and two, and stay in His Grace all the time. He will guide you and He will work and move on your behalf, surprising you along the way. Trust Him, and joy in the moments of building the ‘new’, even when you don’t see the whole picture, or understand every step that will follow. Just start…

5Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.Ezekiel 10:9-13
9And I looked, and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one beside each cherub, and the appearance of the wheels was like sparkling beryl. 10And as for their appearance, the four had the same likeness, as if a wheel were within a wheel. 11When they went, they went in any of their four directionsb without turning as they went, but in whatever direction the front wheelc faced, the others followed without turning as they went. 12And their whole body, their rims, and their spokes, their wings,d and the wheels were full of eyes all around—the wheels that the four of them had. 13As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing “the whirling wheels.”
