What is God saying to South Africa right now?

My heart has been heavy over the last few weeks, with the news of yet another crazy rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl. ‘How much more can our people endure?’, was my cry.

The Lord spoke to me about South Africa during this time,

‘South Africa, look to Me. When you are in battle, you can’t afford to spend time lying down in mourning next to the slain. You have to get up and fight. In a physical battle, your focus is the enemy. In the spiritual battle, your focus is Me. Do not lie down, but get up, look into My Eyes, and be My Warrior in these times. Give your heart of mourning to Me, for I will comfort you as you battle on.

For I am calling My Bride into My Mountain. Will you come up here and be with Me? I am calling you to a place of lingering and being in My Presence where we meet face-to-face. Where I set the tone of the meeting-place, not man. Where I fill the atmosphere with My Glory and Power, and where I share My heart and passion with you. I have a story to tell, vision to impart, and strategy to uncover. Will you wait and linger to receive?

For I am demolishing church as you know it. I am levelling every high place that has been built, bringing it to nought. For I have a mountain on which I dwell, and I am calling My Bride to ascend into My Heavenlies to meet with Me as Moses met with Me.

For with the increase of My Presence I will bring a great shaking. I will shake everything that has lifted itself above the knowledge of Christ. The fear of the Lord will be your protection, but those who become familiar will be consumed by My Fire. For I am a Holy God and I am calling nations to bow down to Me in this hour. This is an era where My Blessings and Curses will be evident. Those who bow down to Me, turning away from all idolatry, will inherit My Blessings as a nation. Those who bow down and lift up their idols will be cursed and will fall in the shaking. (Isaiah 46)

South Africa, My Hand is against those who have set up idols in this nation. As I have come against Israel in her idolatry, so I will come against those unless they repent. I will set My Face against them as I have set it against Pharaoh, and I will deliver My People at the cost of their lives.

Bride of Christ, align yourselves with Me. Come into My High Places and be with Me. As you hear My Spirit, I will lead you in your prayers, intercession, and worship, and at the sound of your voice, I will send out My Army Angels. For I am calling you to release My Sound from the High Places. Never think you are alone in your prayer closet. When you lift up your voice, My Angels are commissioned.

Be not intimated by what you see on the outside, for I will realign and birth this nation in a day. For as I poured out My Spirit upon My People when they sought me in the time of Acts, so I will pour out My Spirit upon those who will come up to My Mountain, lingering and being in My Presence.

I will anoint you with My Fire, and you will step out of your dwelling place as a new man. You will see My Fire at work through you, transforming your street, valley, city, and nation. This is My Message to South Africa. You will be birthed as a New Nation in Christ, as you walk as the New Man in Christ. The key that will unlock this door of inheritance, is the Holy Spirit.

For centuries, the Holy Spirit has been locked out of the church. It has become a man-made institution, where parts of My Word is taught, but only in part. This is changing right now. I am doing a new thing! My Spirit is moving upon the earth and bringing about My New Church. For My Church is not a building, nor an institution. It is the dwelling place of My Spirit and My Living Word. You are My Church when you walk filled and empowered by My Spirit, deeply rooted in My Word of Truth. Did John not say, “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Matthew 3:11)’

Lay the old life down in the baptism of water, and rise to a new life in Christ. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit and Fire, and you will inherit the Kingdom in your own lives and in your nation. South Africa will not be birthed by new systems or even a new government, but by the Spirit of the Living God poured out on all flesh upon our land. Then our nation will be reborn, and our systems will be transformed. Bride of Christ, hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Come into His High Places, and be filled with His Spirit. Let your faces shine of His Glory and walk as the New Man in Christ. You are the key to South Africa’s problems, just as the humble group of disciples in the Upper Room were to their generation.

Exodus 19:16-20

16On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled. 17Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. 18Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the LORD had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly. 19And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder. 20The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

Exodus 34:29

29When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.

Acts 1:8

8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 2:14-21,41

14But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.^b 16But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:

17“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
18even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19And I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
20the sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,
before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
21And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

41So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Isaiah 30:27-33

27Behold, the Name of the LORD comes from afar, with burning anger and dense smoke.
His lips are full of fury, and His tongue is like a consuming fire.
28His breath is like a rushing torrent
that rises to the neck.
He comes to sift the nations in a sieve of destruction;
He bridles the jaws of the peoples to lead them astray.
29You will sing
as on the night of a holy festival,
and your heart will rejoice
like one who walks to the music of a flute,
going up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the Rock of Israel.
30And the LORD will cause His majestic voice to be heard
and His mighty arm to be revealed,
striking in angry wrath with a flame of consuming fire,
and with cloudburst, storm, and hailstones.
31For Assyria will be shattered at the voice of the LORD;
He will strike them with His scepter.
32And with every stroke of the rod of punishmentb
that the LORD brings down on them,
the tambourines and lyres will sound
as He battles with weapons brandished.
33For Topheth has long been prepared;
it has been made ready for the king.
Its funeral pyre is deep and wide,
with plenty of fire and wood.
The breath of the LORD, like a torrent of burning sulfur,
sets it ablaze.
