Outside the window during a recent flight, was a field of clouds lit up by the bright sun. I was struck by the contrast of viewpoints of land and sky.
Our realities might be shaded by dark clouds without a glimmer of light, but when we know that the sun always shines above the clouds – that God is aways there – we can be rest assured that the clouds are temporary and will make way for the rays of light to penetrate through our dark sky.
We live by faith
We do not live by sight, we live by faith. Our faith is in a loving God who is the one constant thing in our lives now and forever. His bright light of love, hope and truth never stops shining. He lights up our skies, and moves the clouds out of the way. He brings the winds of change, and rains down refreshing waters that brings forth new life.
His ways are higher
Be patient in the waiting, resting in Him. Be encouraged by the knowledge of His presence and light, and shake off the discouragement that wants to settle from ground-perspectives. Let Him take you on a flight, on a journey, where you see from His Heavenly perspective. See as He sees, be expectant for that which is established in the Spirit, and wait expectantly to see it manifest in the natural.
Know that His ways are always higher, and His plans bigger, better and broader than ours.
2 Cor 5:7
7 For we walk by faith, not by sightIsaiah 55:8-13
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
