The one area that the enemy loves to target in our lives, is our joy. He knows it’s power, for there is nothing that can defeat us, and no hold he can have on us, when we walk in His joy. It causes us to see God’s hand in every circumstance, allowing Him to turn everything around for our good, and His glory.
The amazing thing about God’s joy, is that it has nothing to do with us, our circumstance or our feelings. It has all to do with who He is, what He’s done and who we are to Him.
He is our Joy
Meditating on His goodness, abiding in His Presence, receiving His grace, leaning on Him with all our might, releasing our burdens and trusting that He holds every answer and miracle we need, allows His joy to swell up in our hearts. We need to see as He sees, feel as He feels.
Nothing to fear
Let’s embrace walking in the Spirit, living our lives wholly surrendered to the One who holds every living thing in His Hands. What have we to fear when we realise that we are held in the palm of His loving Hand? He is truly perfect love, perfect peace and perfect joy. Drink it in, let it saturate every living cell of your being and let it ignite a fire of joy that will burn, regardless of the circumstance that surrounds you.
Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
