The Lord is comforting us with His Balm of fragrant spices and rich perfume. For the time of sifting, shaking and refining has brought a tenderness, vulnerability, and rawness within the souls of many.
The Lord is massaging us with His love, breathing words of healing to quicken our weary hearts. He is comforting us, His Beloved…
For this is the time of intimacy with our Healer. As He binds us up, let’s open up our hearts and let Him lead us into new pastures where we can run with Him. Let’s allow His winds of love to bring us into change. For He is taking us into deeper waters where abandoned trust leads the way. He is unveiling more of Himself to us, where His love is better than wine.
1Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.
3The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it
Song of Solomon 1: 1-4
1The song of songs, which is Solomon’s.
2Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
3Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
4Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.
