Have you been hit by a curveball? An unforeseen crisis, that left you speechless and overwhelmed? Are you struck with the reality that you are not in control of your situation, and that there’s nothing you can do to fix or solve it in your own strength? Sometimes we feel thrown into the deep-end, completely overtaken by the size of the waves, and overwhelmed with feelings of fear and anxiety that we’ll never survive.
The Lord is saying to us, ‘My children, I have every resource available for what you need, everyday. Whatever you are facing, know that I am with you… you are never alone. I am carrying you, I am holding you, I am watching over you. I will make a way where there seems to be no way, I will move the mountains that seem to block the way. Let go of fear and worry, let go of control. Trust in Me, lean on Me, and wait on Me… for I will use your unexpected curveball, to open up the way for your blessing.
Have I not said, I will stretch your borders? Have I not prepared you for enlargement? When I enlarge territory in my children’s lives, it comes with discomfort, pressure and the impossible. For that which you’ve walked in before, was smaller and possible in your own strength. When curveballs come your way, be at peace, and know that I am stretching you, to enlarge your capacity for that which is bigger.
Let the curveball be your training-ground for walking in faith and trust, at a higher level. Come and take what you need from Me, everyday. Let Me refresh, sustain and guide you, each day anew. Lay down your weary souls, and rest upon My chest that beats endlessly for you.
For peace is your portion… My peace transcends your circumstance. It will carry you, give you rest and sleep at night… and greet you in the morning with a smile.’
Isaiah 54:1-3
1 “Sing, O barren one, who did not bear;
break forth into singing and cry aloud,
you who have not been in labor!
For the children of the desolate one will be more
than the children of her who is married,” says the LORD.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;
do not hold back; lengthen your cords
and strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,
and your offspring will possess the nations
and will people the desolate cities.1 Chronicles 4:10
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harmc so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.
Phillipians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
