Substance Precedes Inheritance

The Lord is faithful to all of His promises. When there seems to be a delay in inheriting His promises, He is working in us, solidifying us to be a people who will stand and not fall, run and not stumble. He is establishing a people of substance.

There are times when God withholds the abundance, there are seasons that seem dry and lean. God uses the lean years to draw His Bride closer and to take her deeper.

For that which lies ahead demands all of Him in us. He is the One who will work in and through us to accomplish great and wonderful things upon the earth. The lack of finance, the need for miracles from His Hand, are all catalysts needed to dig those deep trenches of substance.

We might not always be able to understand and decipher what the Lord is doing, but we can be at peace that He is always in control, working behind the scenes and that His plans will be accomplished in us.

Let’s take some time to rest as this year draws to an end, and place our entire trust in our Loving Father, who knows all things. Lay all your cares before Him and wait on His timing… for He will bring about His Promises and will cause His people to inherit the land of their blessing.

Psalm 145: 14-21

[The LORD is faithful in all his words
and kind in all his works.]c
14The LORD upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
18The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
20The LORD preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.

21My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
