Pick up your Sword!

The Lord called out to me this week, ‘Pick up your Sword!’, ‘Pick up your Sword!’. For the battle has been fierce, leaving many of God’s people feeling weary, tired, discouraged, and asking, ‘Where are you, Lord?’.

As I turned my Kindle on, I opened the page where I left off in Isaiah 34. The whole chapter is about God’s vengeance on the nations, and the Sword of the Lord. Immediately the Lord showed me that when we pick up our Sword, the enemy’s lies about God’s Goodness are exposed. For the Word of the Lord proves His Faithfulness, His Character, and His consistent Kindness. Our spirits awaken to the Truth of Who He is, and we are instantly reminded that in spite of what our eyes see and our circumstances decree, the Lord our God is Greater!

He is the Almighty One Who sits upon the Throne, the One True God Who has already won the victory, and is calling His Bride to rise up to her High Calling, riding the clouds with His Spirit in Heavenly Places, dismantling the works of darkness, destroying the wicked plans set up in the nations. For she is the Called-Out One who will slay the giant as David did. She will stand before Goliath in the anger and fury of the Lord, filled with indignation, trumpeting out, ‘the battle is the Lord’s, the victory is ours!‘ For she has a revelation of the Greatness of our God, and her responsibility to wield His Sword in battle. She will slay the Giant who has kept the nations in bondage, she will unbolt the chains of slavery, and open the eyes of the blind through the Sword of the Lord that’s branded on her heart and released upon her tongue.

As His Army-Bride is gathered in Heavenly Places, she will demonstrate His Glory and release His Power upon the earth, violently pulling Heaven down to Earth, establishing His Kingdom Order in the nations who fear Him.

She will walk in her Dominion Mandate as given to Adam and Eve, taking dominion over the earth, to protect, establish, and rule in her Kingly Anointing, as the New Man in Christ.

Through wielding His Sword and living in the Spirit, the Bride of Christ will inherit the nations alongside Her King.

Psalm 2

The Reign of the LORD’s Anointed

1Why do the nations rage^a
and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
3“Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

4He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6“As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

7I will tell of the decree:
The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
9You shall break^b them with a rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

10Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
12Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Isaiah 34:5-8

5For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens;
behold, it descends for judgment upon Edom,
upon the people I have devoted to destruction.
6The LORD has a sword; it is sated with blood;
it is gorged with fat,
with the blood of lambs and goats,
with the fat of the kidneys of rams.
For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7Wild oxen shall fall with them,
and young steers with the mighty bulls.
Their land shall drink its fill of blood,
and their soil shall be gorged with fat.

8For the LORD has a day of vengeance,
a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
