Make Haste to Help me, Lord!

Many are crying, ‘Make haste to help me, Lord! Do not tarry.’

This was David’s cry too. When our world is being shaken, God is saying, ‘I am your Stable-Ground‘. When you’re feeling out of control, He is ever-in-control. When you’re exhausted and weary, He is your strength. When you can’t walk another step, He upholds you with His Right Hand.

For God hears your cries. His ears are not deaf, His arms not shortened. He hears and works at all times… in ways, we cannot see, in ways, we cannot hear. Be at peace Precious Ones, and drink from His Living Stream. His Waters refresh and restore the dryest soul.

Come before Him with thanksgiving. Let your hearts be made glad by His Presence. For even in the storm, His Light shines brighter than the sun; and in your deepest despair, His Comfort is like a fragrant balm.

Come and sing a song to Him, ‘Let God be magnified!’

Psalm 70

To the Chief Musician.
A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.
A Prayer For Deliverance

1Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

3Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

4Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: and let such as love your salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: you are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.
