God is calling forth a people who will walk with hearts that are joined to Him, and joined to each other in unity. For too long the church has been fragmented by differences of doctrine and understanding. It is time to move our differences aside, and be joined by the cross and resurrection of our Lord, and turn to each other in love, not judgement.
With every great move of the Spirit within the church, with every new doctrinal truth established, there were always elements of judgement and disunity accompanying it. I have been amazed how God has used people throughout the generations, regardless their mistakes and even some incorrect doctrinal beliefs, to build His Kingdom. God looks at our hearts, and He uses us when we are willing and obedient. He has patience with us when we have areas that still lack understanding and maturity… and He covers us with His love in the process.
Will we turn to each other, and look with eyes of love and acceptance, regardless of our differences? Will we set aside judgement and criticism, and stretch out our hands in unity, so we can walk as one, building a Kingdom that belongs to our Heavenly King. We are His children… all of us, who are washed with His blood. We are one.
Let’s be a family… we don’t expose and uncover each other’s nakedness, as Noah’s youngest son had done, we cover and protect. We love and pray for one another, and wait to see God’s purposes unfold in each other’s lives.
Believe the best in each other. Set your focus on thát which is beautiful and positive in each other, and let the imperfections blur out into the distance. God is more than able to get us where He wants us to be on our journey. All we need to do, is love one another and walk in unity… so we don’t become hindrances in each other’s lives, but blessings and gifts of God’s grace and love.
Col 3: 14 – 17
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
1 Peter 4:8
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Genesis 9:20-24
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces werebackward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. 24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
