Prophetic Preparation for 2025: Coming Back to the Garden

It has been a tumultuous time where our souls cried in anguish as we felt overwhelmed with feelings of abandonment.

I remember hearing Cindy Jacobs releasing a prophetic word over 2024 earlier on in the year, about it being a year of prophetic preparation for 2025. That it would be a challenging year. Nothing could have prepared many of us for the intensity of the pain and struggle of 2024. It has undoubtedly been the toughest year for many, leaving us battle-weary, wounded, bleeding, and limping.

The Lord has zoned in on dealing with fear, unbelief, unresolved issues, and old forgotten wounds. It has been a tumultuous time where our souls cried in anguish as we felt overwhelmed with feelings of abandonment. ‘Will God come through for us? Is He forgetting His promises? Does He not see and hear us? Does He not love us?’, have been some of the deep seated questions of the last year.

There has been an uprooting out of the old and a transitioning into the new. When a tree gets uprooted, transported, and replanted, there is a period of shock and risk: will the tree survive the transplant? Will it adapt and live? Just so, we have been taken out of our old familiar, gone through a period of transit where we were neither in the old, nor the new, causing many hearts to fail for fear that the transit is the place of planting. The place of nothingness where the loss of the familiar is grieved and sorrow has become the new day.

The Lord has collected our tears in His bottle, wearing them around His neck. None is wasted. The Lord knows, sees, and cares so deeply, that every tear will become a seed upon which He will breathe new life and hope. He will never forget.

For those who have kept standing, choosing faith over fear, and hope over despair, they will reap the reward of their sorrow. Mourning will be turned into joy, and sorrow into dancing. It is a time of celebration again, and the Lord is saying, ‘It is done!’. We have come full-circle, to the place of full completion. The last season of preparation that the Lord has taken us through, has transitioned into the new era of the restoration of our dominion mandate in the garden.

We have exited an old era operated by systems of control, restriction, oppression, manipulation, and domination. Our discontentment with the old and our pure pursuit for more of God and His Kingdom, has led us onto a staircase of transition where we had to climb from the lower level of restriction to a higher level of freedom. This climb left us vulnerable, afraid, and in need of God like never before. It’s been a climb for survival.

On the higher level, we have crossed the threshold of the new. We have made it through. However, before us is a land, uncultivated and bare. The Lord is saying, ‘Will you let me wrap my sash around your eyes so that you can imagine, by faith, what you want to see on this land? Then start calling it into being as I did when I made the earth. I will show you strategies and blueprints, I will connect you as you need, and I will provide the resources that’s required as you start seeing and speaking by faith. It is the time to take hold of the tools of the land to cultivate and grow what you desire. It is the restoration of man’s dominion mandate as My people learn to live in the place of My garden of freedom, abundance, and miracles. I have taught you to lean on Me, I have taught you to trust Me, and I have revealed Myself to you, intimately and faithfully.

In this place of freedom, you will operate intuitively, relationally, maturely, and dynamically. You will see how things will evolve and develop naturally as you walk with discernment and faith, causing what you put your hands to, to prosper. Where before, your muscles grew weary from toilsome labour with little or no reward, you will now find yourself strong and muscular, trained and equipped for the joyful labour that will bring great reward.

On this land, those who take hold of their dominion mandate, will prosper exceedingly by faith. They will go down to the lower levels, calling those still enslaved to come to freedom in Christ so they, too, can inherit all He has prepared for them. The mature are the inhabiters of the garden. They have become the Bride of purity and holiness whose love is rooted deeply in the Lord, their Saviour. In their sorrow, they sought the Lord. In their anguish, they found Him. From this pain, their love became anchored and rooted in the One they call, ‘Bridegroom’.

As you enter 2025, be expectant, hopeful, and faith-filled. You have exited the old. You have endured and survived. You have crossed over and entered. Now see and behold what the Lord will do! The gifts He has laid up for you are filling your storehouse to overflowing. Let faith be the lens you look through, and let your voice echo that which you see, calling it into being in your garden of inheritance.

Song of Songs 2:10-15

“The one I love calls to me: Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling.
Come away with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one.
The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone.
The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.
Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.”
Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me. For you are my dove, hidden in the split-open rock. It was I who took you and hid you up high in the secret stairway of the sky. Let me see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your voice in prayer.
You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together.”
