Becoming the Place of His Rest

The Lord calls us to build Him a house in the nations. Not one from toil, but rest. He has been searching the earth, looking for those who will wholly abandon themselves to Him, becoming the place where He can freely dwell.

The Lord calls us to build Him a house in the nations. Not one from toil, but rest. He has been searching the earth, looking for those who will wholly abandon themselves to Him, becoming the place where He can freely dwell.

The continuity, where Heaven and Earth join together, allowing Him to sit in the High Places upon His throne with His feet resting on the Earth, comes forth when we become the place of rest He is longing to find. For too long, men have separated God from His beloved creation by our interference, control, and selfish domination. The church buildings have been void of His presence and power, while leaders have masqueraded and performed religious rituals and duties, all in the precious Name that we bend and bow to in reverence and awe.

The Lord is unlocking His people from the chains and bondage that have held them down. We are set free from slavery and will witness the miracles accompanying our new adventures with God.

Understanding ‘rest’ requires the understanding of freedom. For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We are a people of freedom who move not by what we see, but by the Word of the Lord and the unctioning of His Spirit in us. He moves us forward and upward. Not being constrained by our circumstances, we set an order for what He wants to bring about as Heaven and Earth unite in our lives.

Being in His rest means, whatever He says, I do. Wherever He leads, I walk. In all things, at all times, I hear, see, and do as He prompts. With Him taking the first step, I take the second, partnering closely with Him as lovers do, and vice versa. He might nudge me first, Him coming alongside, second. This season is all about intimacy with Him… moving as one.

We will see an increase of His governance on the earth as we become and build places of rest for Him to dwell among us. There is a demand on the Bride of Christ to pioneer new things as the old has made no room for Him to rest. We have entered such an exciting time when we will see manifold blessings upon God’s people as they go through the gates, preparing a way for the people. We are called to build a highway for the people, clearing it of stones. A way of thoroughfare for the nations, taking them from suffering and unrest to blessing and rest.

The house of the Lord that we are building, will offer a resting place for God and a resting place for the people. The Lord is doing a new thing, bringing salvation and reward with Him. No more will we be despised and forsaken, but the Lord will arise upon us and mark us with His favour, calling us ‘My Sought-Out Ones’.

There are many winds of change blowing right now. The Lord is saying, ‘Stay in the place of My rest where I provide all you need. The change I’m bringing will not be of calamity and loss, but increase and blessing. Come and stay close to Me, for what I am doing, I am doing in partnership with you. We will clear the stones, lay the bricks, and restore the ruins together. Heaven and Earth will work as one, as you remain in the place of My rest. This is your new place of operation, dwelling, abiding, and living. Rest… where My Will and My Kingdom can be established without resistance.

Isaiah 66:1

‘Thus says the Lord : “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?’

Isaiah 62:10-12

‘Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.” And they shall be called The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.’
