You say, ‘Lord, how long must the shovels and picks have access in my dry soil? How long will they plunge into my deep?’, the Lord replies, ‘these tools, sharp and rough, will hit a Well that’s deep within, and release a continual flow from the Sweetest Spot of Me.
Come, My Beloved, come! Race to Me in your sorrow. Run to Me in your drought. I am Your Living Spring. I satisfy your every longing in this place of My Deep. For that which seems dry and barren will be barren no more! I am bursting forth and shooting high, Water that reaches the sky. For in My Presence I am releasing a Fountain that will cause new life and new joy to all who find Me.
Delve deep for Me. Know that I am here. Know that I am waiting. For new bonds of love, new depths of Grace are to be discovered in this place. Your garden will be well-watered, exhibiting the finest array of colour, scent and beauty. My Spring will flow through your borders and spread across neighbouring lands.
This is your New Day. This is your day of public display. For I am transforming the dry and dusty places into fruitful gardens that will draw many to come and drink from My Stream, and feed on My Sweet.
Come, My Beloved, Come close to Me! My Voice is calling from the Deep. It is here where My Waters will be released.’
Psalm 84
1How lovely is your dwelling place,
Lord Almighty!
2My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
3Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
4Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.c
5Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
6As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains also cover it with pools.d
7They go from strength to strength,
till each appears before God in Zion.
8Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;
listen to me, God of Jacob.
look with favor on your anointed one.
10Better is one day in your courts
than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
12Lord Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you.
